Overview
Welcome
to the Pritikin Longevity Center and Spa. Our carefully designed
1, 2, 3 or 4 week programs offer an integrated approach that combines
low-fat eating with structured exercise in a way that can be customized
to fit within your own personal lifestyle. Some visit the Center
to help overcome serious health challenges such as heart disease,
adult-onset diabetes, high blood pressure, and elevated cholesterol.
Others come to lose weight, regain control over their lives or to
simply adopt a healthy, new lifestyle within our safe, structured
and supportive environment.
Facilities
Located
within a private enclave of the Turnberry Isle Resort and Club,
the Pritikin Longevity Center is the ideal environment for initiating
a new healthy lifestyle. Once inside, you are totally immersed in
the Pritikin Program experience. There are no distractions, only
diversions. And what diversions! A new spa & fitness center,
two championship golf courses, two award-winning tennis centers,
and an exclusive Ocean Club, are all yours to enjoy!

Rooms
The Center’s Yacht Club Hotel caters exclusively
to Pritikin Guests and contributes to a friendly, casual environment
where everyone is working toward similar goals. The décor
is airy and spacious and each guestroom has a private balcony overlooking
the Turnberry Isle Marina and sparking intercoastal waterway.
Choose from a selection of deluxe rooms and
suites, or treat yourself to a Tower Suite, which features a view
of the Atlantic Ocean, marble floors and private rooftop Jacuzzi.
Amenities include spacious whirlpool tubs, dual-line telephones
(perfect for a laptop or fax), minibar, VCRs, in-room safes and
twice daily maid service. At the end of a busy day your suite becomes
your own personal sanctuary. A place to relax with an in-room massage,
begin a journal documenting your success, or savor the “chocolate”
covered strawberry that was left on your pillow.
Exercise
The
Pritikin® Exercise Program is based on scientifically proven
principles, and is designed to maximize your health. Our exercise
protocol, in conjunction with the nutrition guidelines, is the foundation
for the Pritikin® Program's prevention of heart disease, controlling
hypertension, diabetes management, and maximizing weight loss. This
program has worked for thousands of participants. It can work for
you!

Your Daily Exercise Program
During your stay at the Pritikin Longevity Center® you will
participate in three types of exercise: Cardiovascular (Aerobic),
Strength Training and Flexibility.
Each morning you meet with your exercise
physiologist in a small group environment. Your daily workout begins
with a gentle stretch and warm-up pool side followed by a monitored
aerobic exercise session.
During the day the Pritikin® Program
offers a variety of exercise options such as aquatics, circuit training
and cardio-fitness classes.
